The room was spacious and with good facilities! The hosts are so sweet and welcoming, providing a good daily breakfast. The accommodation is well-located, close to the metro, Ipanema beach and the areas of Ipanema and Leblon with their abundance of restaurants and bars, and not too far from Copacabana. The accommodation was a little tricky to locate initially, but a couple of the locals pointed us in the right direction, which is further up the stairs into the favela than you initially think. The area is lively, with lots of music playing, which makes for a true authentic experience of a favela community! But if you like some quiet I'd recommend bringing some ear plugs just so it's easier to fall asleep.
